When a billion people in the world already live in chronic hunger and water resources are under pressure we cannot pretend the problem is 'elsewhere'.

More winter cleaning

Our cars are just getting so dirty at the moment but giving them a quick once over with one of our waterless wash products each week makes car cleaning less of a chore. We like to rotate product, with quick wash one week and then carnauba the next, ensuring a clean shiny car all the time.
In cold weather, we have found that spraying the product on larger areas gives a better finish. We would normally recommend spraying say a door at time, then wiping a buffing. But in this colder weather we have found that spraying all one side of a vehicle then wiping then buffing works better.
You may have found differently....let us know what works best for you.
Wereally like spraying our tyres with tyre dressing at the end. It gives such a professional finish and a great sense of satisfaction. It's only £5.50 a bottle - go on, treat yourself.

Winter Cleaning

So, its cold outside and the weatherman says its going to stay cold for the next 10 days or so. Why would you go outside and clean a car? Unfortunately this is the time of year when cars are at their dirtiest and get get covered in all that nasty, corrosive salt on the roads.
A bucket of water and a pair of rubber gloves is just not appealing we agree. But a bottle of Quick Wash or Carnauba Gloss and a couple of microfibre cloths and you could be done in 20 minutes and you can keep your thermal gloves on. More appealing? And you have the satisfaction of a shiny car when all others around you are dull and dirty - isn't that worth 20 minutes?
Get a quick, instant shine with a 500ml bottle of Quick Wash at £6.50 or go for a deeper shine and a protective wax finish with Carnauba Gloss at only £8.50 for 500ml. Both will clean your car up to 6 times. No water is needed, just spray, wipe and buff.
Winter weather not car cleaning weather? With Go-Waterless we think you'll find it is.

Our Waterless Car Wash product range explained

We have had a lot of questions this week about the difference between our new range of Waterless Car Wash products.

Waterless Car Wash. Containing high quality biodegradable surfactants, Waterless Car Wash is your everyday, versatile product that effortlessly cleans the exterior of your car leaving a nice shine. A 500ml bottle will clean your car up to 6 times and, like all our waterless products, gives you the flexibility and freedom to clean your car, boat or caravan wherever and whenever you want.

Waterless Car Wash & Polish. As eco-friendly as our Waterless Car Wash, this product also contains high grade synthetic polymers that gently polish your car and so improves the shine especially on dull-looking paintwork.

Waterless Car Wash & Carnauba Wax. As easy to use and as eco-friendly as our other products, the natural carnauba wax develops a deep ‘showroom’ shine and provides durable weather protection and a slick dust and water-repellent finish.

Dri Wash ‘n’ Guard. This was probably the original waterless car wash brand that first came to the market in the late 90’s. Ultra-Ion is their latest generation 3-in-1 waterless cleaner that includes a synthetic polish to develop a really extra-deep shine. A unique surface protectant prevents weather, oxidation and UV damage, whilst an ionic barrier provides improved dust and water repellence. Ultra-Ion also contains kaolin clay that improves minor surface damage like feather scratches and swirls. Ultra-Ion should be applied to a dry surface and we have found the kaolin clay can leave a whitish overspray if not polished off (although this can be done even after several months if missed).

Sometimes it helps to compare with a well-known product. Take breakfast cereals for example. You can buy a box of own-brand cornflakes and they are fine. But sometimes you fancy a bit more so you might go down the crunchy nut path. Then, one day you just fancy luxury muesli…..

So, the choice is yours, but we do promise that whatever you chose your car will look amazing. And you will be saving time and money whilst caring for the environment.

Autumn Mists

Although the weather has been quite extraordinary this week, morning mists mean wet cars - not good for valeters. Here are some of our ideas for dealing with the problem.

Ask the car owner to move the car or leave it in a sunny position so that the sun hits it as quickly as possible.
Remove as much excess water as possible without wasting cloths; run the front and rear wipers a couple of times, run an ice-scraper or squeegee over the roof and other windows.
    Clean the interior first.
As the product will tend to run a little more than normal, spray & clean smaller sections so that you catch it.
Leave the windows to last. I did my car yesterday and sprayed & cleaned all the windows with glass cleaner then went back and buffed them. They were fine. However, don't be tempted to 'mop up' with your buffing cloth. Any dampness will cause streaking that is then difficult to buff. If you have a damp patch around the window, mop it up with an old cloth first.
If you buy concentrate, keep a bottle of less diluted product handy. We recommend dilution of 1 to 9 but if the car is damp this is going to dilute the product further so try 1 to 7 or 8. A 1 litre bottle of car wash and wax is only £27.95 so worth having some in this weather. Click on http://www.go-waterless.co.uk/prod/327/waterless-car-wash/waterless-car-wash-wax-concentrate-1-litre to see it.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any good tips.

How refreshing

We have refreshed our website and hope you agree that it is refreshingly easy to use but contains everything you need to know about all our products. We have added some new products too. Our range of waterless car wash now includes a car wash with carnauba wax. It leaves a really deep, glossy shine and protects your car – something to think about as (sadly) winter approaches. My favourite new product is Wheel Guard. It really does help to keep your wheels cleaner for longer and if you use regularly makes cleaning easier – that’s got to be a good thing.
If you are new to waterless cleaning at only £9.45 our basic kit is perfect. It contains everything you need to set you off on your waterless journey. I’d add a bottle of Wheel Guard to the bag too...but as you’ve probably gathered, I really don’t like cleaning wheels!
